Who is responsible for your information

Alpine FX Ltd is responsible for the personal information it controls. Alpine FX Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 10927316, with its registered office at 20 to 22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU.

Payment and electronic money services are provided by The Currency Cloud Limited in the UK and Currencycloud B.V. in the European Economic Area. Those companies may act as separate controllers of personal information used to provide their regulated services.

Information we may collect

We may collect your name, contact details, details of your payment requirement, correspondence with us, and information needed to establish or manage a client relationship. When you begin an account application, Currencycloud may request identity, business, source of funds and transaction information through its secure onboarding systems.

The website and its hosting and security providers may also process basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and security events.

How we use personal information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, explain or provide available services, administer client relationships, support transactions, maintain records, prevent fraud and misuse, improve our service, and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Depending on the circumstances, the lawful basis may be taking steps before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, pursuing our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, or your consent where consent is required.

Who we may share information with

Where necessary, information may be shared with Currencycloud and other providers involved in onboarding, compliance, payment processing, hosting, security and professional support. It may also be disclosed to regulators, law enforcement agencies, courts or other authorities where required by law.

We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used as required by applicable data protection law.

How long information is kept

Information is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, regulatory and record keeping requirements. Information relating to Currencycloud accounts and transactions may need to be retained for at least five years from the relevant transaction or the end of the business relationship.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, ask for a portable copy, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
